Flannery is the perfect introduction to sweater knitting! With a relaxed silhouette, easy raglan sleeve construction, and comfortable fit, first-time sweater knitters will love the skill-building success and great look it brings.
• SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate
• FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Bust circumference: 34 (37 ½, 41 ½, 46, 50, 53 ½, 57 ½, 62, 66)” / 86.5 (95.5, 105.5, 117, 127, 136, 146, 157.5, 167.5) cm
Garment Length: 23 1/2 (24 1/2, 25 1/4, 25 3/4, 26, 26 1/2, 27, 27 1/2, 27 3/4)” / 59.5 (62, 64, 65.5, 66, 67.5, 68.5, 70, 70.5) cm
Choose the size that is 3 ½-4” / 9-10 cm larger than actual bust circumference. Sample shown in size 41 ½” / 105.5 cm.
• YARN: 7 (7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13) skeins SweetGeorgia Yarns Superwash Worsted in Lilac (200 yd / 183 m per 4 oz / 115 g skein; 100% Superwash Merino).
• NEEDLES & NOTIONS: Size 6 US / 4 mm needle, Size 7 US / 4.5 mm needle. Size 6 US / 4 mm circular needle, 16” / 40 cm long (Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge), 1 removable stitch marker, 1 stitch marker, yarn needle
• GAUGE: 17 sts and 28 rows = 4” / 10 cm in St st, after blocking.
21 sts and 30 rows = 4” / 10 cm in K2p2 Rib, after blocking.
• PATTERN NOTES: This raglan-style sweater is worked flat in pieces and then seamed.
The stitch patterns are written to include a garter stitch selvedge edge for seaming.
These stitches are included in the schematic measurements for blocking but are not included in the final seamed measurements.
Armhole and front neckline shaping are worked at the same time, so read those instructions carefully.
