The Fledgling Blanket is a crochet baby afghan made with the Moss crochet stitch and gorgeous stripes that start small on the ends and get bigger toward the middle. This is a timeless crochet baby afghan pattern that will be perfect for any new addition and look great in any nursery.

Using the Moss Stitch gives the stripes on this baby blanket a bunch of personality while remaining easy and enjoyable to work on.

This baby blanket is a perfect gift for expecting parents.

This pattern is available for free on my blog theloopholefox.com. By purchasing the pattern here, you are purchasing a downloadable, ad free PDF pattern.

By purchasing this pattern, you will receive:

1)TWO PDF versions: One computer friendly (with photo tutorial) and one printer friendly, to save on ink.
2) The picture tutorials include steps for working the Moss Stitch, changing color and crocheting over your ends, should you decide to.

This is a great beginner project as it only uses single crochet and chains. The blanket is a one row repeat with color changes added in, so you can feel confident tackling this larger project.

It’s also great for experienced crocheters who want a timeless pattern that takes them back to basics.
