Fleur-du-Lit Baby Blanket
A clever pattern with Wow-Factor results yet never requires knitting with more than one colour!
Pattern uses 1 solid colour yarn and 1 multi-colourd yarn; choose whether to knit the bottom and top borders in the solid or a multi-coloured yarn.
Sample used a little over 2 skeins each of Patons Astra in “Maize Yellow” (solid) and Patons Astra in “Happy Days” (multi) -- (approx. 350 yds / 320 m of each).
The blanket has a Garter stitch top and bottom border as well as Garter side edges; the multi-coloured yarn is carried right out to the side edges for a lovely striped effect. Yarn colour is changed every 2 rows but the yarn does NOT have to be cut; the “waiting” yarn can be carried up the side of the blanket so there are minimal ends to weave in.
