A romantic and feminine loose fit tunic top. This design is very flattering, nothing clingy in the lower section, contrasting with the deep yoke which is gently fitting.
The lower edge is so pretty with the ruffle effect finished off with a mass decrease row before working the tiny eyelet border.
The ladder stitch “skirt” section is in fact stocking stitch with ladders being formed by “yarn forwards” at the start, and ending with those same made stitches being dropped off the needle and run down to the “yarn forwards”. Easy!
The yoke has an eyelet grid pattern and is simple to work.
The upper edge is finished off with garter stitch, including the shoulder shaping.
The sleeves are mainly in stocking stitch with two equal slits on each side which are edged in garter stitch.
