Knit Play Colour contains ten patterns. The patterns are being previewed on Ravelry through September, with the final pattern being revealed when the book is released on 29th.

This shallow triangle scarf is easy to personalise.

Choose a favourite colour for your contrast.

Choose a dark neutral and a pale neutral to set it off.

It is easily adjustable in size, whilst retaining its linear proportions. Ideal for 4ply/fingering, DK, worsted and aran, you can play with making this in any yarn weight you like.

You can keep it to just three colours, or use it as an opportunity to experiment. The simple structure allows you to play with stripes and yarn colours.

Flight of Colour is a great scrap-buster, ideal for handspun yarn or mini-skeins. It is a fun intermediate knit. The strong shape and simple stripes hold the project together, giving it an interesting structure within which you can play with colour.

At the end of every pattern in Knit Play Colour, you will find ideas on how to “play” with the design. Flight of Colour is easily adapted for any yarn weight.

Size is customisable. Length is six times the width at its widest point.

MATERIALS
Total 660m/720yds of DK/light worsted yarn:
220m/240yds Dark Neutral (A)
220m/240yds Pale Neutral (B)
220m/240yds Contrast (C)
4.5mm/US 7 needles. Circular needles with 80cm/32” cable will be useful for longer rows.
4 x ring stitch markers and a locking marker
Stitch holder or scrap yarn to hold stitches

TENSION
20sts per 10cm/4” over Garter Stitch using 4.5mm/US 7 needles or size needed to get gauge.

This used 600m/656yds total. 24sts per 10cm/4” over Garter Stitch using 3.75mm/US 5 needles. 30cm/12” deep x 180cm/72” long, a typical scarf size.
