With graphic sweaters trending now, I felt like I, as any good knitter, needed a sheep sweater in my wardrobe. Since a pictorial graphic can be more than color, I used different yarn inside the intarsia to add some fluff to the sheep as well.

Deep, flat ribbing on the sleeve cuffs lead to exposed seams on the shoulders in this drop-sleeve pullover. It’s worked flat from the bottom up and seamed. It accompanies the article, “Designing with Graphics,” in the Fall 2026 issue of Cast On.

Size 6 (4mm) straight or circular, or size needed to obtain gauge
Third needle for three-needle bind off
