Flora Facial Rounds
Sweet, small facial rounds that are both pretty and functional! Remove makeup with ease with these scrubs.
The perfect quick, small project to learn and practice the Modified Bead Stitch.
A perfect thoughtful ‘just because’ gift or stocking filler. Make in bright, cheerful colour(s), or the recipient’s favourite colour(s). Package up in a pretty crochet bag for perfect gifting.
Use a soft DK cotton for best finish.
This pattern was created for #SmallProjects2025 March ‘SCRUB’ event.
Pattern Details:
- Skill Level: Intermediate
- Yarn: DK/8ply/Cat. 3 weight yarn (for small rounds) or Worsted/10ply/Cat. 4 weight yarn (for larger rounds). Cotton or cotton/bamboo blends, ~10-15g/0.4-0.5Oz in total per facial round.
- Hook: Use yarn label instructions as a guide for selecting hook size. Swatch to determine the optimal hook size for your tension.
- Facial Round Size: Varies with brand and weight of chosen yarn. ~8.5cm/3.5in in diameter in DK yarn.
- Gauge: Specific gauge not required.
- Stitch Terminology: US. Refer to Abbreviations and Special Stitch Instructions.
- Notions: Scissors and darning needle.
- Pattern Synopsis: The facial rounds are constructed in the round, over four rounds in total, with their texture resulting from a combination of DC, Modified Bead, and front post stitches. The first round makes the featured flower centre.
