About the Design
I’ve always loved flowers, and floral brooches are popular, so the two fit well.

My aim was to make the flowers look more realistic than some I’ve seen. In this pattern, the Lilac Brooch comes closest to that goal.

The Rose and Sunflower are both easy to do. The beading at the center of the sunflower is stitched on afterwards– so there’s no threading or hooking on beads.

The Lilac is a bit more complex, but do-able for a intermediate knitter or even an eager beginner. It looks far more complicated than it actually is to make, as the pieces are knit separately, then joined.
