This hat was born of my love for flapper-style cloches. I wanted
something that looked fanciful and was fun and interesting to make. I first tried the ruffle element on flat, without gathering it, and it overwhelmed the hat. I loved the stitch pattern so much, though, that I tried stitching it together into a flower and I fell in love.
