A quick and easy relaxing crochet project suitable for beginners. The pattern appeared in a free supplement enclosed with Simply Knitting 74. The crochet terms are in UK terminology.

This is a triangular mesh shawl with appliqued crochet flowers and picot edging, using basic crochet stitches.

There is no gauge, stitch diagram or chart, but there is a photographic tutorial for chain stitch. and a photographic tutorial for treble crochet elsewhere in the same booklet.

4 x 50g balls of the recommended yarn are required for the basic shawl, plus four differently-coloured 50g balls of the recommended yarn for the flowers.
