This pattern is an intermediate one, for sizes XL-2X. The finished bust size is 48 inches: however, given the nature of the pattern, it will fit sizes XL ( 44-46 inch bust) 2x (48-50 inch bust) 3X (52-54 inch bust).

If you are looking for a size M (36-38 inch bust) or L (40-42 bust), use one hook size smaller than what you used to match gauge.

If you are looking for a size larger than 3X, repeat round 16 in both the front and the back once for every size increase.

Also given the nature of the pattern with the front and back being different, the front has 19 rows, and the back has 18 rows. This is not a typo :)

I used a large ball (340 g/12 oz/608 yards) of the variegate, with a small ball (50 g/1.75 oz) of white; however if you want to have a top with one colour, you would simply ensure you have enough of the one colour.
