A quick and easy project – this lovely little scarf is knit in fisherman’s rib and finished with a knitted flower and button.

A NOTE ABOUT THE FLOWER:

Quickly increasing from 9 to 243 stitches is what makes the flower ruffly. Quite a few people have written that the flower is a pain to work. So I just made another one to see what the fuss is about. I used longer dpn’s and it was not that difficult. If you are having a hard time be a creative knitter - try working the flower on two circular needles or magic loop.

Another idea is to work the flower flat (back and forth in stockinette) on straight needles and then seam it at the sides. Also note that the heavier the yarn you are using the harder it will be to crowd all those stitches onto the needles.
