Stig was curled up in his basket in front of the stove, when the first blizzard of the season hit the Snow Forest. Lotta knew that this meant they would be snowed in for at least a couple of days, and she was thrilled !

As she watched the flurry of snow dancing around outside her window, she lit a candle and sat down at her tiny desk to work on her latest project. Lotta loved making things, and sold her handmade treasures in the little town close to her cabin.

She decided to treat herself to a slice of almond cake fresh from the oven, and a pot of tea made with her favourite herbs, collected in the summer. She then settled down in her cosy home, relishing the peace.

The Flurry socks depict the snow falling around Lotta’s home. The gently falling flakes, and the whirling snow whipped around by the wind.

Sock Details

The socks are worked top down, with a snug and cosy heel flap and gusset construction. The instructions are written for the magic loop method, but other methods can be used.

Yarn

The socks are knitted using Cascade Heritage yarn in the colourways ‘Lunar Rock, and ‘Snow’.
