Flyleaf Shawlette
On Holiday by Michelle Miller has eleven lovely designs that uses 1000 yards of yarn or less! Michelle is known for creating beautiful patterns that use only one skein of luxury yarn and continues with that theme in On Holiday and combines her talents with five other designers to bring you the types of projects you’ll want to knit on your summer holiday or for the holidays! These patterns were hand picked from the best of the Holiday Yarn Club over the years and combined into one book in time for your own holiday knitting.
There is something for every knitter in this collection. The book contains directions for mittens, socks, shawls, wraps, and a cowl. All patterns have thoroughly tested written instructions and charts where applicable.
I’ve always loved to read. As a child books were my refuge, my shelter, and my passport to all places. Some destinations attainable, some not. Reading offered me shelter, enraptured me, providing joy sometimes and sadness others.
Holding a new book in my hands was like holding potential personified. I savored flipping past the flyleaf protecting the pages in a new book, my gateway to the universe. And I took flight.
This shawl is constructed of a main body with a knit-on lace edging. The body is constructed in a traditional triangle method. The edging is knit on and short rows are used to shape the edging around the center point of the body.
Written instructions are provided for all charts, so you may work from the charts or the written instructions.
Yarn substitution may result in a change in estimated yardage, gauge and finished size of your individual project.
