You can brush the main and the tail with an animal brush or just a comb. Try, what it works better for you. It is easier to use a yarn which is loosely spun, so that it can be easily combed.

Only the ears are crocheted in spiral rounds. The body is crocheted in rows. Make two pieces of the body and then crochet them together. Crochet the foal as tight as you can, so you won’t see the stuffing inside. Yarn ends do not need to be sewn; you can hide them inside the foal.

You can make this foal very fast and it is a beautiful present.
