Folia cape
In November, when the leaves fall from the trees and the weather
cools down, I often fancy throwing a little something over my
shoulders, perhaps not as warm as a sweater, a small simple cape
that feels like autumn.
The Folia Cape owes its name to the leaves that make up the design,
but also to the Galician foliadas, a local celebration where people
come together to play music, sing and dance. Foliada is also a
musical arrangement.
As well as providing warmth and colour to our autumn, it reminds me
of the stoles worn as part of traditional Galician costumes used
during foliadas.
