Follaje is a drop shoulder sweater that is worked flat from the bottom up then seamed; sleeves are picked up around the sleeve opening and knit in the round down to the ribbed cuff. Decreases are fully fashioned; they face the opposite direction from most ‘standard’ patterns.

Sample was knit with three alternating skeins, which prevented striping and pooling. Sweater body was cast on using a tubular cast-on; this cast-on gives the cleanest look to the attached i-cord edges used on the ribbing panels and is strongly recommended.

Cowl and sleeves were bound off using a tubular bind-off as this cast-off allows the outer edge of the cowl to stay flat and the sleeves to match the body ribbing and cowl. Wrap and turn short rows were used; any other short row method of choice may be substituted.

Yarn Used:
3 (3, 3, 4, 4, 4, 5) skeins Malabrigo Sock, #805 Alcaucil (MC)
1 (1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1) skeins Malabrigo Sock, #138 Ivy (CC)
