Followill is a slouchy textured lace hat designed to show off gorgeous hand dyed yarns. Ever since I designed my Followill shawl, I knew that I wanted to use the stitches for a hat and am so happy with how it turned out.

I have included notes on how to knit from a shorter skein of yarn also.

Yarn
Approximately 150 yards of heavy worsted/aran weight yarn total

Solid Version
The Plucky Knitter Traveler Aran 65% merino/20% silk/15% yak aran weight with 220 yards/115 grams - used approx. 136 yards/70 grams

Short Skein Version
Twisted Fiber Art Queen 100% superwash merino aran weight with 130 yards/70 grams – used approx. 123 yards/66 grams

Finished Size of Hat
Hat has a fitted rib and slouchy body. Fits the average women’s head.
