Super fun slippers I just made for my husband. When he tells me how much he loves my handmade slippers, how can I turn him down when he asks? We’ve been married 26 years and I’ve made him new slippers (or at least new soles) just about every year! That’s a lot of crochet love!

He loves them so much he ends up wearing through the soles. Last year I tried using bulky yarn to see if they would hold up better for him, but have gone back to this tried and true 30 year old pattern.

The great thing about this design is that the sole is worked separate from the top, so when it needs replacing I can just make another sole instead of the entire slipper!

He has our ‘almost-daughter-in-law’ to thank for all these fun colors this year- she gave me a huge box full of Red Heart Yarns a few months ago!
