Footprints Shawl is included in Less Traveled Yarn’s Handmade: Slow Fashion Inspired by Arizona’s Five Cs pattern collection (also available as a digital download here).

Footprints has a simple triangle shape, with an all-over mock cable pattern. It is inspired by the cattle theme and depicts a field as seen from above, where cows on pasture are walking side by side in straight lines leaving their footprints behind them.

Construction:
This shawl starts with three cast-on stitches, it is then worked back and forth in rows increasing at one side until the desired depth is reached, then decreasing on that same side until just three stitches remain to bind off. It also features an integrated garter stitch border.

Finished Measurements:
62”/155 cm wide and 21”/52.5 cm deep
