For The Love Of Rainbows
PATTERN WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE ON SUNDAY 23RD AUGUST
What you will need:
- Yarn – 2x 100g Fingering Yarn one solid neutral Yarn (Colour A) and one gradient/variegated yarn (Colour B)
This is a good opportunity to use one of those crazy colourful and variegated skeins you don’t know what else to do with or a beautiful gradient or even use up some mini skeins / scraps for the stripes … pair it with a coordinating or neutral solid yarn and have fun with the changing stripes …
-
Needles – 4mm (US 6) & 5mm (US 8) needles on Long Cable to accommodate all the stitches at the end (larger needle only needed at bind off).
-
Notions – Stitch Markers (not really needed for the pattern but can be used to keep track of stitch counts).
-
Gauge – Approx 18 sts/ 4 inches after blocking (although gauge is really not too important with this shawl as long as you are liking the fabric you are getting)
-
Finished Size of Shawl – 260cm (102 inches) on the longest edge & 38cm (15 inches) at the deepest point.
This pattern is a lot of fun and easy to knit … the changing of the stripes and fun eyelet sections means you never get bored of what you are working on as you are constantly changing what you are doing … and I liken this shawl to knitting a pair of self striping socks where you just want to keep going until you get to the next stripe!
