Be elegant and warm with the delicate pointed leaves of Forest Ferns Moebius. Worked from a central moebius cast-on that grows into a garter stitch band, the points of the cowl are offset, just as ferns are in nature. A feather and fan pattern that is finished with a picot edging and blocked firmly creates the shapes and airiness of fern fronds.

A link is given in the pattern to Cat Bordhi’s excellent video tutorial for the Moebius Cast-on. If you are unfamiliar with this cast-on, do watch!

Small - 30cm tall x 60cm circumference
Large - 38cm tall x 76cm circumference
The cowl will naturally fold in wear giving a true maximum height of 15 (19)cm.

Gauge is after a firm blocking that has been allowed to relax, although it is not essential for you to match gauge exactly in this project as long as your fabric is open and able to be firmly blocked.
