Forty-Five degrees
Named after the forty-five-degree angle of its miters, place strategically to define the side slits and add interest to each lapel. A modified rectangular version of the mitered square makes the back as interesting as the front, while a much larger mitered square is folded to form a dolman in each armhole, allowing the main pieces of the sweater to remain rectangular and easy to knit in moss stitch.
