Why should sweater knitters have all the fun? Whether you live in a warmer climate or just aren’t ready to tackle an all-over cabled sweater, you can still jump on the cable bandwagon with a snug hat that’s finished in no time.
The Fox Gap hat brings together the cable motifs from the Quirauk cardigan in a much simpler shape—no short rows, no pockets, no applied i-cord, just simple decreases to shape the crown and your hat is ready to wear! I like a neat tubular cast-on for hats, but if that’s not your speed, try an alternating cable cast-on for a tidy edge that blends neatly into the ribbing.
