Fox in the Hollow
Brioche is probably my favorite stitch. The central pattern in this scarf is reminiscent of a smiling fox, and the side panels are the leaves he is hiding behind. A fun thought to keep you smiling throughout this project.
The sample was made using the Fiber Seed Sprout Sock, in colors Ginger and Fox Hollow. It is 68” long but if you use the Fiber Seed Sprout Sock, you will have plenty to make it considerably longer. But of course, any fingering weight yarn will work.
Although the gauge is listed, it is not critical for the project. Any weight yarn can also be substituted but a change in needle size may be appropriate, and the measurements would vary. Just make sure the fabric is nice and squishy like brioche should always be, and that you like it.
The sample is made up with a solid color and a varigated color. But you can also use 2 solids, just make sure they have good contrast. I think 2 varigated colors would “muddy” the pattern.
I hope you enjoy the pattern as much as I did.
