Franconian Beadwork
During its prime, bead knitting was viewed in central Europe as a specialized art knitting. It spread to Nurnberg, Bohemia, Venice, and mountain areas where the glass bead industry was established. Pouches, purses, cuffs, and socks were made with rich bead patterns and sold as desirable rarities.
Also needed: 570 size10 seed beads (about 16 gr.), sewing needle and thread.
