NOTES: This model is made of two squares that constitute the front and back. The two pieces are then assembled at the shoulders and sides of the body, and stitches are picked up around the armholes to knit the sleeves and around the neckline and hem for a ribbing finish.

The construction of each square inspired the model’s name, Free Spirit, because they are knitted from a wedge that evolves into a striped, pie-shaped point until the desired bust width is achieved. When the final size is reached, the stitches gradually bind off to form a corner opposite the starting one.
The pattern is relatively easy to knit, while the seams require more attention to detail, but the result is well worth the effort!
