Lightweight elegance is the name of the game with this gorgeous summer-friendly top that’s inspired by one of the world’s most popular cut flowers. This is one of the first designs I wrote for this book, and I was stunned by how beautifully the yarn brought the details to life. I used a blend of cupro (a rayon created with cotton waste) and mulberry silk, resulting in stitch definition and sheen like almost nothing else. This featherweight top is the perfect option for a day of wine tasting or a lunch date with a friend. Pair it with cotton capris or a linnen skirt and you’ll be ready for a day out. Better yet, bring a light jacket to go with it -- this delicate top is so light-weight, it’s perfect for layering.
