NOTES

  1. Read the pattern carefully before starting.
  2. This pattern is worked flat, in the rounds.
  3. Since this is a made-to-measure pattern, gauge is not so important. Take your measurement before beginning. Determine whether you want your belt to sit just above your hipbones or on your waist. It is up to you, which option you choose.
      • repeat instructions between asterisks as many times as directed or repeat at specified locations.
  4. ( ) work instructions within parentheses as many times as directed or work a group of stitches all in the same stitch or space.
  5. I recommend using stitch markers to mark specified stitches. Remember to move the stitch marker as you progress.
  6. It is entirely up to you how long your belt strings are. To lengthen or shorten the strings, simply add or subtract the specified number of chains.
