When designing this wrap, I knew I wanted to use a large lace pattern with a little bit of contrasting yarn. I fell in love with this stitch pattern, and I got so caught up in the ebb and flow of the pattern that I couldn’t stop knitting. I laid it all out for blocking and sent a picture to my sister. After looking at the picture my sister said, “The pattern looks like people holding hands.” So, this is my friendship shawl.
