You start hat with a crocheted pom pom that sits at top of the hat and work directly downwards to top of hat to the bottom. Its an all in one pattern. Different stitches used is Sc Decrease, Front Post Half double Crochet (Fphdc), Back Post Double Crochet (Bphdc), Back post single crochet (Bpsc) and Front Post single crochet (Fpsc). For hats pictured I used Red heart SuperSaver Preppy Stripe and Red.
