“This design was inspired by the patterns that form on very cold glass on frosty mornings,” says Emma Vining. “Frost patterns often combine to form beautiful shapes with delicate lines and textures. My vest features a pattern panel knitted with twisted stitches and garter stitch texture reminiscent of these patterns. Each individual motif connects to the next one, creating the larger pattern panels which are centred on the front and back of the vest. A series of circle and diamond shapes emerge between the twisted stitch lines within this symmetrical design.”
