Frostwork
Inspired by the spectacular window art created by nature during the winter months, Frostwork is a cozy wrap featuring beautiful flowing cable motifs reminiscent of ice-covered foliage and branches. Presented here as a blanket and a unisex scarf, this wrap is worked in one piece, end-to-end, without the need for complicated center grafting.
Narrow columns of lacy eyelets are placed in between the cable sections for additional texture and drape. The long edges are bordered in simple garter stitch, while the short edges are anchored by ribbing. This variety of differently textured stitches mixed with the unique cables and a touch of lace makes Frostwork an interesting and engaging project that’s hard to put down.
