Frosty Morning Hat
I had just finished a stranded colourwork pair of mittens for my Father and wanted to make some Winter hats. I used mostly washable yarns, except for the Kureyon so the hats have plenty of stretch to them.
This pattern contains variations 4, 5 and 6 of this design. A separate pattern will contain variations 1 & 2 Slouchy Hats, this will be released in time for Christmas knitting in 2015.
Hat #4, made with Debbie Bliss Blue Faced Leicester Aran, with Burnt Orange for the MC and Mustard for the CC. I used 4mm needles and worked a longer brim so that this one folded double for extra warmth.
Hat #5, made with Debbie Bliss Blue Faced Leicester Aran in Stone for the MC and Noro Kureyon in shade 52 as the CC yarn, knitted entirely with 4mm needles for a looser brim and warm fabric.
Hat #6, made with Debbie Bliss Blue Faced Leicester Aran in Duck Egg for the MC and Mustard for the CC. I worked this shorter for a more ‘beanie’ fit, again with 4mm needles.
