Frosty Night
by Kylie Moleta
#42: Popcorn stitches create a textured pattern but joining multiples of the square give it another look entirely. See the square in use in the cushion pattern, Frosty Night Pillow, on page 127.
Tools & Materials:
Yarn: cotton 8-ply/light worsted (DK) yarn. Sample used was made with Cascade Ultra Pima Cotton in Gray (yarn A) and White (yarn B)
Crochet Hook: 4 US (9/10 UK, 3.5mm)
Size: Square works up to approximately 6x6in (15x15cm)
Stitches used: magic loop, ch, sl st, dc, popcorn
Helpful Tip: Using a smaller hook than the one recommended for your yarn helps to hide the strand that is running behind your stitches by causing them to sit tighter together.
