This shawl is knitted sideways from one narrow end to the other. The edging of the shawl remains the same throughout, the size of the body fluctuates. The body of the shawl is knitted in garter stitch. Short rows are used to allow the edging to grow faster than the body.

The size of the shawl is easily adjusted by adding (or reducing) repeats. This option is explained in detail in the pattern.
