When I was a little girl, my mom worked at a garden that sold various summer flowers and plants. I used to go there with mom; she worked and I had my little shovel and bucket and I played and admired all those beautiful flowers.

One of my favorite flowers was fuchsia. The buds were so little and when the flower got in full bloom, the color was amazing. I’m still amazed at the gorgeous color of those flowers. This shawl is inspired by those flowers, and the lace edging resembles fuchsia flowers in full bloom.

This shawl is quite easy to knit. It is worked top down, starting with a garter tab. Shawl body is worked in garter stitch, and the lace edging is worked in stockinette stitch.

MATERIALS
Yarn Jaipur Silk Fino (100% silk, 300 m / 50 g), 2 skeins color 25. Shawl shown used 540 m / 90 g of yarn.
Needles 4 mm or to get gauge
Notions Stitch markers, yarn needle, blocking materials

GAUGE 16 sts and 25 rows / 10 cm in stockinette stitch, blocked
