These funky chicks are ready to strut their spring/summer finery! Crocheted in a worsted weight yarn (models are made in Sugar ‘n Cream cotton, but any firm worsted weight will work nicely) and stuffed, the ladies look great on a shelf or sunny windowsill. They are suitable for toys, but for older children - the eyes are buttons and the legs and tail loops could pose choking hazards for children who still put things in their mouths.

No gauge is necessary - work evenly and consistently throughout to form a firm fabric with no holes to allow stuffing to escape. The bodies use about half a ball of cotton yarn, with small amounts of several contrasting/coordinating colors for legs, tails, wing flowers, etc.
