Fuzzy Slipper Socks
by Ann Budd
These socks are modeled after ones I knitted for my friend, Katie, to keep her feet warm while she had chemotherapy. After putting them on, Katie asked me to make similar socks for husband and two sons. The socks are worked from the toe up with a modification of Priscilla Gibson-Robert’s infamous short-row heel. Working socks from the toe up is ideal if you have a limited amount of yarn--work the foot to the desired length, then work the leg until the yarn runs out.
