The pattern for Føyka, originally in a thick version, was first published in my first book, Wilderness Knits (Villmarksgensere), in 2019. Since then, it has been knitted in countless variations all over the world. I have now designed a version in a thinner yarn, making it more versatile for all seasons. The sweater is knitted in fantastic Norwegian wool from Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk. You can also knit it in Lettlopi if you prefer a more water-repellent version. However, I prefer the Norwegian yarns Luna and Vidde for all allround wear, as they are softer than Lettlopi. Føyka Mid-Season is designed for all seasons, with a special focus on the transitional seasons of Spring and Autumn.

10 cm stockinette stitch on 4.5 mm needles = 18 stitches
10 cm stranded knitting on 5 mm needles = 18 stitches
(The needle sizes are only a guide. If you have more stitches than specified per 10 cm, go up a needle size. If you have fewer stitches than specified, go down a needle size).
