Gabriella is a very good friend and fellow knitter. We always chit chat and debate about yarns colors, patterns and yarn shop updates. Our skype and e-mail conversations gave me the inspiration to design “Gabriella the shawl”. I first knitted a grey/red prototype, then a green one, which I sent to her as a “Thank You” gift. After a while I worked again a grey/red version and then I had to cast on a brown one. I can’t stop exploring all the infinite yarns and colors combinations that can be used with this pattern.

Pattern includes written and charted directions.
Four in one: Two version of the same shawl, Garter Shawl and Stockinette Shawl and two sizes, Medium and Large!

Suggested yarn: Any yarn you like. I used Aade Lõng Artistic 8/2, Noro Kureyon Sock, Araucania Ranco Solid, Noro Silk Garden Sock, Filatura Di Crosa Rustic, Lush Yarn Merino Sock.

Construction: This shawl is worked in a triangular style, top down with a easy to knit lace edge.

Size: Medium and Large

Approximate measurements after blocking:
Medium: 84” wide x 21” deep, 210 cm wide x 53 cm deep, 427 yards
Large: 97” x 27”, 244 cm x 68 cm, 751 yards

Difficulty: Easy to intermediate. I recommend this shawl for beginners that are willing to get started with lace!
