Gander Blips Jacket
Garter stitch jacket with pattern created by carrying contrasting yarns on the outside of the knitting.
Level of Difficulty: Intermediate
Measurements:
- Chest: 45.5 (49.5, 53.5)“
- Length: 20 (21.5, 23)“
Materials:
- Main Color (MC) in Aran weight yarn: 900 (1000, 1100) yds or approx. 11 (12, 13) 1.75oz / 50g balls in dark blue-green.
- Contrast Colors (CC) in various weights (worsted to chunky, textured or fuzzy): maximum 5 yd lengths of light-medium to dark intensity reds, red-purples, purples, blue-purples, and blue-greens for Gander blips pattern and various lengths of CC for trim pattern; total CC approx. 190 (200, 210) yds. (It takes twice the width of a row to work one trim pattern row. For example, it takes 40” of CC to work a row that is 20” wide.)
- Six 1/2” buttons in CCs
Needles:
- US 6 and 8 / 4 and 5 mm
- US 6 / 4 mm, 24” / 60 cm circular needle
