Knitwear is often relegated to the realm of blustery bad weather. Protective outerwear and cozy, insulating layers are certainly where wooly knits excel, but why restrict your handiwork to this domain? When I came across this glowing skein of pure silk, dyed in a flamboyant shade of red-violet, I knew that it had to become something slinky and revealing.

A simple trapezoid is knit from the top down in the round with eyelet increases along the sides to encourage floaty drape unfettered by seams. A folded hem neckline holds a simple silk ribbon that can be adjusted to customize fit; it serves as straps and embellishment at once. Channel your inner coquette in this cheeky knit.
