This lovely cardigan is worked in one piece to the armholes (with slight body shaping to the waist), then the fronts and back are worked separately to the shoulders. The sleeves are picked up and worked down, with short-row shaping to shape the sleeve caps. The Garter stitch panel at the bottom of the body is shaped gently to keep the sweater from clinging, and the 3/4-length sleeves (or alternative long sleeves) are belled slightly.
