The pattern also includes instructions for an optional loop at the edge of the cuff, a handy detail for folks who want to hang their gloves on a hook for safekeeping.”
Finished Measurements: To fit woman’s medium (man’s medium) Finished hand circumference 8 inches, 9 inches
Yarn: Jaeger Matchmaker Merino DK (100% superwash wool; 131 yards / 50 grams). Solid gloves: 2 balls; fingerless gloves: 2 balls; mitten with multicolor cuffs: 2 balls main color (MC), 1 ball each of 2 contrasting colors (A and B). Shown in book in #866 blue, #868 purple rose, #877 gold.
Needles:
- One set of five double-pointed needles (dpn) size US 4 (3.5 mm).
- Optional: Smaller set of dpn, size US 2 (2.5 mm) or US 3 (3.25), for tips of fingers and thumb.
- Change needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Stitch markers, stitch holders, yarn needle, small amount of waste yarn in contrasting color.
