Instructions for both a plain Garter Hug and one with ruffles are included, as well as information on using different yarn, and maximizing yardage.

Yarn
Fingering weight: approximately 350-600 yards of fingering weight yarn (I used Knitted Wit Victory Fingering in Autumn Rainbow
DK weight: 275-500 yards of DK weight yarn (I used Knitted Wit Victory DK in Feliciacakes).

Gauge
Fingering weight: 22 sts = 4”/10 cm in garter stitch, measured after blocking.
DK weight: 18 sts = 4”/10cm in garter stitch, measured after blocking.

Finished measurements (as shown)
Fingering weight: wingspan: 50”; depth at center: 15”.
DK weight: wingspan: 60”; depth at center: 18”.
