Gaskiers-Point La Haye
An elegant and edgy cable lace sweater featuring the Nalgar sleeve construction which was originally knitvented by the perennial Elizabeth Zimmermann. The bottom-up construction leads to Nalgar sleeves -- which are reverse raglan sleeves -- resulting in an intriguing geometry. After the Nalgar shaping is finished, shoulder shaping is worked and the shoulders are joined with a 3-needle bind-off. And ultimately “Gaskiers” always reminds me of sailing gaskets, hence the finishing touch where the shoulder cut-outs are fiilled in with ribbing and lashed together with I-cords.
The cable lace patterning is charted only.

Needles & Notions
The gauges were achieved with the following needle sizes. To work the pattern as written, you must swatch and use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.
Size A: 2.75mm (US 2) needles of varying lengths (only used for 2×2 ribbing on hem, cuffs, and shoulders)
Size B: 3mm (US 2.5) needles of varying lengths for sweater body and sleeves.
You will also need: spare needles or interchangeable cables for holding sts, cable needle for cables; stitch markers; removable markers.
