The ribbed Gâteau Breton cowl is an easy, fast knit made of the most delectable combination of yarns: La Bien Aimée’s Big Kumo and Bread & Butter’s Everyday. A strand of each yarn is held
together to create the fluffiest, softest, warm fabric.

My friend made the buttery, delicious Gâteau Breton for the holidays and it has been on my mind ever since! So when making this cowl, also buttery and delicious, and thinking of what to name it, instantly I thought this would be the perfect name.

When choosing colors, go for a low contrast pairing in a similar color, like I did, or go for a high contrast! This cowl pattern is a wonderful way to use two delectable yarns, play with color, and keep things nice and easy so you can watch your favorite movie or visit with friends while knitting.
