As soon as I designed the Gelato Cowl, I knew I had to put the pattern on a sock. Using both knitting and crochet in the round, you cast on and knit 2x2 ribbing then you cast off and use the cast off stitches as a foundation to build your crochet onto. I designed the crochet stitches in the Gelato Cowl to look like plaid but then, the pattern made me think of waffle cones and the colours of the yarn of gelato! Pattern Information
Sizes: 1 (Adult M, 64 sts)/ 2 (Adult L, 72 sts)
To fit approximately 8-inch (20 cm)/9-inch (22.5 cm) foot circumference.

Yarn: Birdstreet Yarn merino sock (75% SW Merino Wool/25% Nylon) 100g/425m (464yds) in the Aunt Sally colourway.

Needles/Crochet Hook: 2.5 mm/US 1.5 9-inch circular knitting needle (or size needed to get gauge) and 2.75 mm crochet hook for the gelato crochet pattern on leg.

Gauge: 8 sts & 12 rounds = 1 inch / 2.5 cm in stocking stitch
