Geraldine Top
Inspired by the essence of Art Deco Woman’s fashion “Geraldine top” is the perfect project for lace lovers. The simple shape and plain front with the gentle scoop neckline are based on a flapper dress and it’s an opener for the ornate back which meant to evoke lace, fringe, and feathers.
The oversized shape makes this pattern really comfy and ideal for spring and summer or layering in the colder seasons.
The garment is a fabulous knit for adventurous beginners - it’s worked from the top-down, seamlessly. Front and back shoulders are knitted flat and joined with 3 needle bind off method, then the body is made in the round. The twisted rib is another elegant touch to this top and it complements the lace pattern on the back. The Fleurvile 4 ply yarn gives it a nice drape and is soft to the skin.
